Raised on the back of a fast horse and books too large for her reading level, Emily writes messy fiction where risk always come at a price. She’s especially drawn to stories of found family, complicated loyalty, and morally murky decisions. Her favorite arcs are the chaotic ones.

She currently lives in Puerto Rico, exploring shallow reefs and jungle trails. When she’s not turning over rocks in a tide pool or working on a manuscript, you can find her practicing Jiujitsu, Muay Thai and any other combat sport her coach is willing to teach her.
Emily is an old, grumpy lesbian, and her stories will always include an excessive amount of queer people and angry women.
